Brother Driver Troubleshooting

❌ Brother printer says "Drum End Soon"?▼

Solution:

  1. You can often continue printing for 1000+ pages after this message
  2. Reset drum counter: Open front cover → Hold GO button for 4 seconds
  3. Replace drum only when print quality degrades (spots, lines)
  4. Use genuine Brother drum for best results
❌ Brother printer not detected on network?▼

Solution:

  1. Print network config page from printer menu
  2. Verify IP address and that it is on same subnet as PC
  3. Disable Windows Firewall temporarily
  4. Use Brother's BRAdmin Light tool to find printer
❌ Brother prints are faded or light?▼

Solution:

  1. Remove toner cartridge and shake side-to-side 5-6 times
  2. Check toner save mode is OFF in print settings
  3. Clean corona wire inside drum unit with green tab
  4. Replace toner if level is critically low
